    Sparrows and death...

A couple of shots from this morning. Seems there is some disagreement about what to do with this Sparrows dead mate. He still nests with her, but the neighborhood seems to find it an eyesore. She has been expired for many days now, but he still stays with her.....

    now that's a sad one
I guess the other dude was trying to tell that guy to get rid of the corpse or something and move to another nest.

Does anybody else think these images look "flat"? I personally do, and have since re=postprocessed them to give them a little more contrast and "punch". Thoughts?

I agree, I wouldn't have noticed in the first set, but you can really tell in the second set.
Nice job and congrats for catching such a profound moment in these birds' lives.
