Taken From My Bedroom Window...

Kereru, Native New Zealand pigeon. Luckily I had the right lens already attached and had just put the battery on the charger last night. Recently got a new placxe, and there are three of these that seem to hang around, but usually behind too many branches or some other spot that foils picture taking.
The window doesn't open much, so luckily the pigeon was in the right spot I could angle the camera through the gap. The neighbours probably think I'm crazy pointing 200mm lenses out my second stroy windows...

Yeah we still get normal Pigeons which were introduced. Those are mainly in the city while these native Pigeons don;t really go into built up areas. Didn;t really see these when I was living in the city center, but now I am in the bush, on the outskirts I get to see these and other native birds more often.
These guys are a bit bigger and fatter than other Pigeons as well.
