    Stroud Preserve walk about

Once again humbled by health and work I've not been able to get out much. With nice days being so precious this time of year, an early exit from work allowed me to walk around a land trust out here. Beautiful view from the hill for your eyes but not so much interest for photos, so none of those to share. Here are a few though.

    1. Reflection in the Brandywine

    2. A Chipping Sparrow I think

    3. The top of the hill, I had to sit down on the way up. I figured if I had a heart attack they'd never find or get to me in time. Rather than give up, I just do things slower these days. I could have made this look more level but it was a hill so I left it as is.

    4. Actually saw him fly, have never seen one fly, always just sitting still.

    5. This is actually from elsewhere the day before.

    6. A sort of clown car for turtles

    7. I love my 70-300mm. Of course I want more but as long as the crops come out pretty good, I'm ok with it. See deer in back left.

    8. Crop

Becoming a Photographer is not an event, it's a process.

Thanks Eric. That was actually the last shot on my way out. Late/low sun. I was surprised at all the detail in the water. I don't think I did anything to this shot PP. Just when I get some things under control H1N1 has already hit my office. Gonna be a long winter.

Thanks Kethaneni - I waited for him to fly away and even though I don't like to disturb wildlife I tapped on the post a bit. No luck.

I love the turtle pic... the hot spots are kind of distracting.. but a little photoshop work and that picture would be ready to go in a frame. I love it.

I only know the basics with PSE7 but can follow directions. Would I use decrease highlights or is there another way to fix the hot spots? Thank you for the suggestion.
