Watchng the watcher

The blue tit just checking I have it in focus!
This shows how small the depth of field is at f2.8 -200mm when the subject is about 6ft away. I try and focus on the eye if I can on these twitchy little subjects. The light is restricting me to 1/160th at ISO 200. I prefer to have at least 1/200th and ISO 100 if possible to allow cropping to frame the subject . . . but we can but hope for brighter days!I try and learn something every day - but rarely succeed!
