Looking up at the world
Thought this might make a cool pic, I also took some laying down near trunk looking up at trees. any ideas on what could make this type of shot cooler?

Do a portrait crop with the "v" at the bottom left corner to eliminate all green trees and possibly convert to b&w.

I'd try to stay away from adding faux DoF. It just looks tacky, and doesn't add to the image. Especially when there's a lack of DoF where it shouldn't be.
