Some new pics C&C please
I haven't taken any new pics for quite a while, so finally today I picked up my camera and tried to remember the things I had learnt near christmas.
1.)

2.)

3.)

I took quite a few pics but these are my favourite three, would like to hear your comments.

Interesting subjects! I'm not sure about the backgrounds.

Apologies KmH.
I seem to prefer taking photos of things close up rather than landscape or people, but I think its just my comfort zone for now as a beginner, one of my previous problems was getting the sharpness level correct when taking, I think I have managed to correct that now, as for the background it was hard not to get the fence panel in as it surrounds the tree trunk not really sure how to make it less noticeable (if possible).
Thanks for the C&C

To me, these pictures scream of a beginner with a nice camera, or someone who is good with a camera but not a photographer. The texture is nice, and the focus is great. the bokeh is well done as well. But the shots are not interesting, and they don't convey a message. It's more like "this is the shiny stump in my backyard, and there's a boat too" as opposed to a shot that's powerful and shows all the detail that it needs. If that makes sense. Keep at it, though - You have the base knowledge for a lot of potential!

Thanks for the comments, I get what you mean I think at the moment I'm just trying to get the technical side of photography down before I start going places to take interesting pictures.

Don't get list there. Try to do both.

Maybe i'm a bit picky, but it seems to me that on picture 3, the subject blends in with the background a bit too much
