    Small birds

I got bored during todays football games so I would head out in the front yard during time outs and between quarters to shoot some of the small birds coming and going from the feeder. It was also a nice sunny day for a change, although freezing cold early in the day.

    1. Got seeds?

    2. Ahhh, that sun is warm.

    3. So much commotion on the ground to watch.

    4. This "is" my good side.

    5. Looking for bugs in the moss and lichen.

    6. Giving me the cold shoulder.

    7. Treetop hummingbird.

    8. A hint of red.

9.All puffed up when another bird came near.

OK, back to football for the evening.

Very cute set. Nice feather detail and catch light. Looks like the Hummer was pretty far away?

Yreah, that hummer was about 60 feet up in the dogwood tree. They were down lower, but once I put food in the other feeder and other birds came in they moved up higher .

Out of the ones with the sky on the background, the last one was best.

Terrific shots! I especially like #5, with the position of the moss to the bird.

Nice images. Sharp and clean, and where you can see the eye, you have captured a catchlight in each one - that's not always easy to do - have a catchlight in the eye, but it is always a good thing to have.
