AF-S FX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR ***TEST***

I just got this lens today and wanted to test the range and sharpness....I took a simple photo of a flying rat ( Pidgeon ) and cropped the crap out of it.....looking to see what I could get....here are the results. I was very happy with the results. Shot at 300mm f/8.0 ISO 4001. Straight out of camera2. Cropped3. Seriously cropped

You've got a good copy. I believe the one I used to have was a bit softer than that.

Well I can't speak for Sparky but I'll let it slide just this once.

That's a sharp photo, was that manual or auto focus?
