how is it uncool? especially if it fits in multiple threads?
-
Because it's against forum policy to post multiple threads with the same content.
And it clutters the "Active Topics" tab that the majority of us use to read the forum.

i'm a real person, not a bot. saying someone is uncool is kind of uncool.
-
Because most people view the forum by the active topics so your thread pops up 3 times! You don't have to put it in multiple threads to get more people to see it....1 time is more than enough

No one is calling you a bot.
It's just against forum policy.
You should take the time to read the forum rules before you post anywhere when you join forums.

i guess its a good thing we are in the "off topic" sub category section. I actually wasn't sure the best place it fit in I always think the categories are vague, I figure I can overpost and the improper ones can get deleted, leaving one in the most relevant place. I didn't realize it made people feel so mean.

NO ONE is being mean to you. We're just telling you what the rules are so you know why you other ones got deleted and to not do it next time.

I honestly don't know if its against the rules but its annoying. I'm not calling you annoying or being mean. It's just annoying when I open up the active topics and there is the same thread a bunch of times. You aren't the only person who has done it. Other people do it and the moderators will end up deleting it but...why make more work for them when you can post it 1 time. Everyone will still see it.

Not a slam specifically to you, OP, because I do see alot of other people saying this sort of stuff on all different forums - but, do you realize that the only way that your "improper" posts get deleted is by a moderator doing it manually, and the mods are typically volunteers? Since they generally work for free (in addition to their regular job/school/family/life etc), IMO checking on the forum posting rules is a considerate thing to do, especially since we get to take advantage of this huge source of information....for free.
