Who uses them?

That's what I'm using now. Vision Spinner & assorted clearo's.
5 days now without a real cigarette...

That thing looks like the "cigarette extension" the Cruela DeVil has in 101 Dalmations!

Well, this isn't technically a 'quit smoking' aid - more like a 'safer' nicotine delivery system. You can use it to help quit, but that isn't really the real purpose.
I'm trying to transition from 'analog' (lol) cigarettes to this - you still get your nicotine, but it's basically just water vapor. None of the bad **** you get from burning tobacco. And it doesn't stink up your house/clothes.
After a few beers, not having real cigarettes has been rough so far, but I think after another week or two I'll be over that (hopefully).

It still "feels" like you're smoking too, so really the only difference is the size of the thing.

Re: e-cigs
Been researching these for the past week. Really want one but I have a couple of requirements:
1) small.. larger than a cig is ok but not a full sized one
2) juice not cartridge
3) manual push button
Have yet to find one that meets all of these requirements that actually has good reviews on "throat hit" and amount of vapor. Any suggestions? My friend has been off of real cigarettes for over 3 weeks now. He has one like you and said he will never go back to a real cig.Nikon | D7000 | D3000 | Nikon 70-300 AF-S ED | 50mm 1.8G |

The setup I'm using meets all of those requirements except for size. I have a backup battery (small) for use when the main battery (pictured) is charging. Something like that might work for you as long as the battery lasts long enough for your usage level.

The 'throat hit' and vapor level are also largely dependent on the juice you use too, so that's something else to consider...

If you don't care about it actually looking like a cigarette, there are a ton of options... Have a look at SmokTek.com - that's where I buy most of my stuff from. Their juice selection leaves a little to be desired, but it's more than enough starting out.
Starting out, I would try a few different flavors and nic levels in small bottles till you figure out what you like. The tobacco flavors don't really taste like a cigarette - they taste the way a fresh pack smells. Don't be afraid to mix flavors either - a fruity flavor mixed with a tobacco flavor can be nice. Ans menthol mixed with pretty much anything will give it a nice 'fresh' feel.
edit
Hitting a 'blueberry-menthol' now - quite pleasant. Look into variable voltage batteries - if you want more 'throat hit' you can crank it up, or turn it down for a more mellow hit.Last edited by O|||||||O; 01-07-2013 at 07:05 PM.

Sadly, I just tossed a bunch of juice. The E-cig never kept me away from cigs. So I'm on drugs instead.
Butter pecan ice cream was YUMMY!
Cotton candy was my favorite.
