I've got a cool mom

I don't remember ever seeing my mom hold a camera... much less take a picture. She also hates having her picture taken more than anything.
IIRC, she will be 65 next may.

So I got a phone call from her last week asking if I have "one of those manual cameras". Just to be sure I asked what she meant and she answers "those where you can change the objectives"

Yes, mom I have one, why?
Could I borrow it for a couple of days? We are going on a field trip in my photo class and I need one of those to take some pics. We will use b+w film and develop it ourselves later...

In short, I'm really proud of her and exited about this. I will take a look at her pics today... I hope they turn out alright to encourage her to go on.

I hope her pictures come out great and that she ends up really enjoying photography. I'm sure it would be fun for you to have that as a common interest.
