Inspired by Rankin - V for Victory
My first time setting up a portrait session.
Made a mess of the room, took us 2 hours to clean it up but I feel we got some good images.
Unfortunately, no-one quite mastered how to throw the paint like I did so never got what I was looking for.
If like rankin I had a radio trigger and stuff, I cudda thrown the paint myself but I don't so meh.
1. The FIRST shot of the shoot.

2. This one kinda made me think of Calvin Klein.

3. Quite liked all the definition in the detailed areas.

4. Probably one of the more successful paint throws.

5. Another part success.

6. Another success.

7. Got fed up the throws so asked the model to throw the paint then punch it.

8. My favourite of them all.

Rankin inspired - a set on Flickr to see all of them.Gear|Canon 450D + 20D|18-55mm f3.5-5.6|75-300mm USM f4.5-5.6|50mm II f1.8|Opteka 500-1000mm mirror|85mm USM f1.8|Canon 580EX II flash|

I'm confused by the colored dust when the model is stationary but when he is moving it really works well to convey a sense of motion and strength.

I am not a fan of the first two. The stationary pose looks like you are just setting up the shot. 6-8 though I love! I love the emotion that comes out. I would def like to see what would happen if you added more colors? Was this just a random shoot or was it for something specific?
