Some self portraits...
My wife had music practice with women downstairs so I retreated to my office/den/studio/mancave for some alone time... I decided to take some "portraits." What do you think?

I like all but not #1. Too much ambient light from the corner light that I see motion blur. Just doesnt look right on this photo.

Pictures are interesting but had to comment on the book. One of my favorites, only comes in second to Survivor.

thanks for the comments
I tried to balance the flash with the corner light to make the light "relevant." If I had overpowered the lamp with the flash (which I did in a few frames), the lamp looks like something I forgot to move before shooting. With the light thrown on the wall and sofa, it becomes part of the scene. Anyway, that was my thinking on the matter. On the first one, I should have set a longer timer on the delay to give myself more time to get setup, but part of me ended up liking the motion blur. it gives it a somewhat ethereal property, I thought. Oh well, to each his own!
Thanks again for the comments. Can't we all just

Robert, I usually like the motion blur too. But this one isnt enough and it looks like more of an error (to me anyway).
