I'm looking for a famous B&W photo...
Hello all,
I'm new, so I beg your pardon if I've posted this in the wrong section.
I'm looking all over the internet for a very famous photo, from the 50's... it portraits a black girl dressed in a black dress, standing on the side of a street in NYC, looking to her left just over the camera, holding a trumpet down to her left side.
Does anybody know who could be the photographer, or the name of the picture or a place where I could find it/buy it?
Thanks.

I've seen it credited as being a photo of Mrs. Donald Byrd.

Been spending a lot of time on here!

...and yes, this is a photo of Mrs. Donald Byrd by William Claxton. You might try searching jazz forums and/or sites for more info on where to find prints.
