Cool Mugshots from the 1920's
I came across this collection the other day, and thought I'd share. The photos are pretty cool; they're technically mugshots, but are much better than any mugshots these days. They are more like portraits IMO. It'd be interesting to know what camera and film they used. Be sure to read the stories, too. Enjoy.

I only looked a the first one and it wasn't done on film. It was done on a 4.75" x 6.5" glass plate - as a negative.

Something as simple and straightforward use to be the normal. We strive today to recreate this. Is the not de-progression?
