Well, that's the first, is usually you're limited to how far you can compensate. When using a flash, you'll get more consistent results (at least, from my experiences) shooting manual than in Priority. Lastly, it's a feel thing. For those of us who learned on fully manual cameras, it feels more natural to just use manual in many cases than use EC. Really, the end result is there's not much difference between the two. But, manual does give you a bit more freedom than EC, though in most cases EC is more than adequate.
