I remember doing this about 30 years ago, it's amazing what you can find if you really take the time to look around. Great suggestion, I had long forgotten about this.

This is probably the wrong place to discuss it, but I am curious about why you feel exposure compensation has some limitations? Is it just that you're typically limited to 2 or 3 stops +/-? If you feel like we should take this conversation out of this thread, I'd be happy to, of course.
Well, that's the first, is usually you're limited to how far you can compensate. When using a flash, you'll get more consistent results (at least, from my experiences) shooting manual than in Priority. Lastly, it's a feel thing. For those of us who learned on fully manual cameras, it feels more natural to just use manual in many cases than use EC. Really, the end result is there's not much difference between the two. But, manual does give you a bit more freedom than EC, though in most cases EC is more than adequate.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

Sorry, sorry. Ignore that stuff, that was just me driving the train off the rails. Go back a few posts from there, there's some actual good stuff

Gear: Gripped Sinar F1, Vivitar 285HV on a Manfrotto rail, and a bunch of lens caps epoxied into a ball.
