Is This a Good Decision? (College)

Marketing is just another name for getting people to notice and want whatever you're prepared to sell (product or service). That kind of knowledge is important in business, in looking for a life partner, in your political group, with your condo peers, etc. It's understanding how people make decisions, and how to influence those decisions to get what YOU want. In my mind, it's part of what makes a person "literate". Sadly, we don't seem to be paying enough attention as a society to the various literacies that all citizens should have, including science literacy, math literacy, political literacy, arts & music literacy, and economics literacy. The marketing would be part of economics literacy in my view.
