no, I would say
Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM Macro Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM II Macro for budget minded amateur, or Canon L lenses for Quality/aspiring pro oriented

So you would say
Sigma 70-300mm 4-5.6 DG Macro lens and Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 70-200mm f/4.0L USM Autofocus Lens But that still leaves me in the 28mm range which may be too short. |

Here is the XSi kit that I was talking about. This ships and is sold from Amazon which many have purchased from before. I also think it might be cheaper to buy this compared to buying the XTi and 18-55 IS.
