I don't like the drooping pedal, either get it in focus or move it.

I's say get it in focus. I love that drooping pedal! It adds quite a bit of interest to me! I love it when a picture has some kind of imperfection! I love seeing any flaws of a subject that a camera can capture. If it's tasteful of course.

i think a little vibrancy would do wonders for it, other than that it's great!

Thanks for all the comments. The problem with decreasing the aperture to bring the petal in focus is then you would see there is a fence right behind it and rocks. I'm just thrilled I could get a blurred background with my p&s. That has been the hardest thing for me to do. I know tomorrow when my D80 gets here, I'll have more leeway, but I'm determined to master this camera also!
But now I'll go play with the colors a little in Photoshop... Lisa

yeah don't remove the petal, it would be nicer if it were more in focus. i'm sure you'll be able to get a great shot with the d80. great job with the P&S though

This was taken with an advanced P&S bridge camera? Nice job! A little PP work (a little color saturation, a little contrast and some sharpening) and it will really pop.
