SX10 IS Question?

Does anyone know how to set the camera to vivid? I am reading the manual (page 143) and it says to hit the function button which I am. Then the arrows but that does not work. To set the vivid I need to scroll up and down on the left side where that option is. The arrows do not let me nor does the wheel.
Thanx!

From what I can find, you need to be in "program" mode, then press "function set" then you should be able to use the arrows to scroll up and down to make your selection.

Go to Manual or semi-auto mode>Choose Colours>Vivid by pressing the joystick to left.
