place for posting
hello:
I am looking for a website to post my pics for free. Something like flicker or whatever... I would only want 2 things: 1) That the pics are not too much compressed in quality, but especially in size... they should take most of the screen, I hate to see my pics in a tiny frame in the middle of the screen. 2) I also hate white backgrounds, would prefer so much black, or at least something darker... Any idea of such place? Thanks, |

Many 'host' sites will resize your images when the file size is too big (maybe pixel size as well).
If you don't want them to automatically resize your images, you should do it yourself before you upload them. You can change the size (pixels) and then set the JPEG compression level (quality). Try resizing to about 800 pixels wide and setting the quality down a couple notches. This should give you a much smaller file size that still looks good on a screen. Just remember to save the resized image as as copy and don't overwrite your originals. |
