i am a beginner, i have recently bought canon s5is.

i like shooting mountains, but i am not happy with the results of my new camera. photographs are dull,bluish,foggy. i dont know where is the problem. please help

For starters, the weather should be good and the time of day should be early morning or late afernoon. "Never between 10:00 and 2:00."

Yeah, could you post a few samples of your results so far?

I agree with the "post a sample" statements but I would also add have you adjusted your white balance. Getting a bluish cast sounds like you might be using auto white balance.
