Object Photography
So I have decided to start more serious photography (as supposed to just playing and not knowing what im doing).
I'd like to start object photography. In particular I want to photograph my backgammon.
Can you guys point me to the right articles to read and learn?
ThanksCanon 20D - Canon 24-70L - Canon 50mm F1.8

like your bat gammon board? or you friends playing batgammon?
You could get some really cool shots with a macro lens.

Well....It ain't hard really, I actually do all mine with a POS Kodak Point and shoot. In the most simple manor All you need is a good tripod, white or black cards and ample light.
For This shot I used two peices of white paper board, two table lamps and an overhead ceiling light over my dining room table with a Kodak Easy Share.
Eventually you can get into the boxes stuff and whatnot but for a backgammon set I think you would be just fine doing it this way. Can't understand Deviant Art?

The 24-70 should hold you over ok for now, My P&S has a 35-111 and I don't even come close to the 111 end when shooting that stuff.
