Avitar Help

Well, I think I'm going to stick around so I thought I'd try do put the avitar picture in. The rules say no more than 100x100 so I picked a few pics (1 portrait and 1 landscape) and resized to 100 on the long sides. I tried to upload them just like I do in a regular post (copy the info from photobucket and paste). I got the message "Invalid File" for both of them. Any help you can offer would be appreciated?

I use Option #2 and browse my computer to change my avatar.
