50d shot count?

Looking to buy a used one in another city, have family member who can check it out first, buy it and ship to me. but how can I have them check how many shots the body has taken? I hear people mention that, i assume there is somewhere to find that?

exif data. I think you can download opanda for free. Once it is on your computer load a picture taken by the camera and it gives you all kinds of info including number of shots taken by camera.

Sorry, that doesn't work for Canon cameras, but it will for many Nikon's.

You'll have to look at the native image file number and it rests from 100-9999 to 101-0001 and is still at best only an approximation.
Canon Service can read the shutter count too, if you send it in to them.
