Every time I cross that bridge I think 'wow... those are awesome'

The composition is great in these, especially #2. I really like the light in number 1.

    Thanks!

I was debating on what to do in #2 as far as setting up the shot. I think the little bit of blue at the top of the head is visually important.

The light was awesome tonight. I see these everyday, and never really thought much about photographing them. You know, it's been done a million times, it's a landmark. But the light made me stop and see them differently.

No cropping was done in #2 or #3.

Dee, this is part of a bridge in Cleveland, Ohio. There are 4 of these "towers", 8 guardians, each holding a different vehicle. They were built in 1932. They were almost torn down, because they wanted to widen the bridge in 1976, I think. The bridge has a lower level that was supposed to be for commercial traffic, but never opened.

Hope Memorial Bridge, Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio 44113 - Google Maps go to street view and you can see them.

The last photo was taken from the middle of the bridge, looking out.

The "Guardians" are on either side of the Carnegie Bridge (Carnegie ave in downtown Cleveland). Actually, they're the statues that Z and Shaq come out of in the Cavs introduction.

I liked the #2 and #4. Felt # 3 is a bit too cropped - it miss the full headset. Pics are clear and precise otherwise, holding the colour and background. Good work !!

Texture in #2 is real nice. Did you hand hold them? have a tripod handy?

2 & 3 are very good. 3 is my favorite. I love the texture and you nailed the varying contrast. Love the moon in 2.

    "Timing is everything"

The lighting is really sweet on 1-3.

The vertical lines on #1 are well composed.

#2 is my favorite, not only with the moon, but the shadow outlining the face and helmet work really well.

    #3
I like to crop, and I like this crop. What lens were you shooting with? How far were you when you shot #1, #2, #3?
    Just some of my thoughts...

    Pierre
