A few from the Rodeo
Good Afternoon all!
I got thee chance to get out to the Cloverdale Rodeo this past weekend and thought I would post a few of my favourite pics from the show.
The first two have been resized, the last one I left at its original size strictly because you cant see the emotion and the detail in the riders face when its been downsized. Please give me your thoughts! All taken with my D90 and an 18-105 lense

Couple things:
Use image tags instead of posting links.
Your shutter speed is too low to freeze the action. The 3rd shot is the best composition of the 3 but you were killed by motion blur. 1/160 ain't gonna do it.
#2 has the fence in the way
#1 looks sharp, but if at full size I imagine there's blur here too (1/60)
The 18-105 should be enough, but you might need to kick up the ISO to get a faster shutter speed. Either that or shoot in S mode instead of M.

I realized the shutter speed was an issue - after I reviewed the photos... If I could go back and do it over again (we can only wish) I would have bumped up the ISO to around 800 and kicked up the shutter speed to around 1/1000...
As for the fence - every time I tried to get close to it I got removed by Security which was rather annoying (Note to self, bring a reflective vest next year that says "Photographer" on the back!)
