Is that a 100% crop? Looks better than anything I've taken with my 70-300 (of the moon I mean).

They look a bit oversharpened to me, but the detail is good.
Was this with 100-400 L?

B shows some bad posterization of the highlighted areas and it looks bad.

If the purpose was to show only details of the Longomontanus crater I understand the crop (big crater at the bottom).
I don't like a death center crop for the moon. Is to simple and dull. I like better your moon that you showed us the other day.

A looks soft to me and B looks oversharpened. Find a middle ground?
Wish I had a lens that would let me get close enough for shots / crops like those!
