Probably because it was taken with a D90 and 35mm at f2.8 1/30th? I dunno.

Aha, So you had two shutter releases? One from the film camera, and one from the D90? Well that would mean that it has two opportunities to create exposure issues. And from what I can tell, the photo is underexposed. Whether it was from the D90 or the Zenit, I don't know. Hell, it could even just be a snowball effect.
