You have a very nice variety of poses.
I like #2 with the tilt. I like it because his tie is almost vertical and she is leaning on him in the direction of the tilt. Kinda saying "I'll be your support" if you will. Weird, but, there ya go.
My least favorite is the first one. My eye wants symmetrical shots to be symmetrical. If he were centered with his door, it would have relaxed there arms which look kinda tense or strained as shot. It doesn't have a warm feel.
Nice job for your first.Best thread EVER!

Good job overall! I also think the first shot would be much better if it were more symmetrical. I know how hard it can be to be vocal at times (esp if you are nervous), but with a little more direction #1 could have been my favorite shot of the bunch. Way to go for your first engagement shoot though!

This is your first engagement shoot?! I'm really jealous!
My favorite is the 2nd one. I love angled shots... not all work, but this one definitely does!
My next favorite is the last one, the close up. The line of the fence works for my eye.
I wish the 4th one weren't so centered. Nice pose, but I think it would have looked better shot landscape, and with some looking space on the left.
Nice composition on the 3rd one. The leaves frame them nicely (if only that one pesky leaf weren't overlapping his head). However I don't think the pose is very flattering to the bride to be. (Although I must say you showed her good side is every other shot).
The first one doesn't really do anything for me. Even if it were centered, as suggested above, the other two shots I mentioned would still be my favorites.
Very nice job with these!

The blown-out background area in #3 is quite distracting. Same with the fence in #5. Otherwise, very good for a first effort--much better than most people would do I think.

Do you think a tighter crop could get rid of that problem? I run into this a lot when editing since we usually shoot outside in pretty bright conditions. I think he could get a much tighter crop of the couple to get rid of the blown out portion while still showing some scenery.

Yeah... I dont know man. Nothing stood out for me.
#1 has potential with further editing
#2 makes a lot of sense if you do landscape with a lot of negative space on the right
#3 the leaves in the foreground arent blurry enough, same thing with the background. I dont like very blown out grass. Thats just me.
#4 Too centered. Similar to #2, probably better landscape with more space on the left. I think it is overexposed. You could bring it down quite a bit and add flash
#5 I see no detail on his fingers and the fence
Just my honest oppinion man. Keep it up.
