C&C per req:
1, 2: I'm afraid they're not doing anything for me. They need to be levled, and they're lacking a distinct main subject. Watch your exposures; shooting into/near the sun will play hell with your camera's light meter. Consider shooting early in the morning/later in the evening and using a polarizing filter (Google "golden hour").
3. Nice, but rather too centered. Again, a polarizer would have helped, improving the sky/cloud contrast and overall saturation. Was there a chance of getting a shot without the cattle fence?
4. I like this; nice use of light, and a case where shooting into the sun works well. The strongest of the lot IMO.
Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

I like #2 the best of all. I took a shot like that a few years ago and had many people comment that they like it. Good work. #3 is a little dark.

Thanks for the tips, 4 is by far my favorite as well, 2 is a close second. All in all I figure I need to learn how to better use the settings on my camera so as to get different variations of the same picture (IE take a number of pics of the same subject under different settings until I learn)
thanks again.

Some nice pics of nice locations. The composition and framing needs to be improved though. Have u heard the rule of thirds? I would suggest u Google it, it is very useful when framing and cropping ur images. Shooting backlit is one of the most beautiful photography styles for me but there are quite a few things to learn about it. Google Elizabeth halford blog, she explains quite simply how to do it. Happy learning!

I think the composition needs work as well. They also look a bit over processed for my taste. I would also like to have seen #1 and #2 in landscape rather than portrait. Work on exposure and composition and I think you will have something here.
