Goonies...who said my Canon stuff is obsolete? It's not obsolete. It's still capable of making good photographs within its inherent limitations. (Everything has limitations...the 5D is not a high FPS camera, for example) And if you think $10,000 is "expensive", well...try adding a 300/2.8 and a 200/2 and a 400mm to your kit...plus a 70-200/2.8 and three to six fast-aperture primes...you will see that $10k spent five years ago is still capable of making good images. 50/1.4, 85/1.8,135/2-L, 24-105-4 L, 70-200 2.8 L IS USM, 135 2.8 Soft Focus, 100/2.8 macro, Sigma 80-400 OS,580 EX-II, Canon 500D 2-element close-up lens, 5D full frame body, Canon 20D, 18-125 Sigma DC. Pretty good system. Not a bit of it obsolete. In my hands, it's all quite capable...I never said it was obsolete--you did though, goofballneverdies...
Back in 2006, Canon was far,far ahead of Nikon, body wise. That's why I bought the Canon stuff, to see for myself just what all the hype was. $10k in Canon is a pittance compared to other photo investments I have made...I've been buying gear since 1982...I am not one to buy pro-level gear then SELL it at a loss to buy something new....I leave that to 20-somethings who do not have the money to finance new gear without first selling something at a loss to raise cash..."It's about time people started taking photography seriously, and treating it as a hobby." Subject like Canon vs Nikon is kind of boring and getting old. I'd rather take a nap.

Clever on the name jokes.

You still make no sense. Regardless of why you bought them, if they are inferior, why would you shoot with them? And if you do not shoot with them, they are in fact obsolete in your eyes and relegated to being subpar paper weights. So selling at a loss makes less sense to you than holding onto something until it has absolutely no value to any reasonable person? Its not like a point and shoot, where the convenience and space savings would constitute using them. If you DO shoot with them, help me understand why you would you take a camera of similar size, and, by your standards, inferior abilities, and waste your time shooting with it?

Derrell, if you wouldn't mind, when you finish justifying your camera purchases and uses could you go on to explain/justify why you buy/endorse the car you drive, the brand and fuel type of water heater in your home and lastly but certainly not least important, white or wheat?!?
