Remove fungus from lens

Hi People,

Is there any way of removing fungus from lens... without sending it for servicing?

I was wondering,is there some sort of process that can kill fungus without dismantling?... radiation... heat?

No, there is a residue to remove from funfus. You can disassemble the lens yourself and clean the elements but I'd recommend sending it to someone who knows what they are doing.

I would try first putting it to the sun.

panocho that may kill the fungus but it won't get rid of it. If fungus isn't removed it'll etch into the coatings on the lens elements. I suggest sending it in for a service asap.

Unless it is a very expensive lens... first try soaking it in bleach.... then throwing it in the trash.... No camera repair is inexpensive.
