If you don't want a digital medium format, the 500 c/m is quite affordable right now. I've seen them for $5-600.00.
Thanks. I didn't think they would be so (relatively) inexpensive.
I'll definitely have to keep that in mind.

Yeah, at this price you may as well go with a Hasselblad. Plus, it is an interesting exercise to shoot square. From what I remember there was a Mamiya back for shooting square but with the Hasselblad you don't have a choice.

And since you were talking vinyl earlier, most of my music related shots were square. Promo shots on an 8x10 left enough room at the bottom for band name and contact info. And of course album and CD covers are square...
