No longer a newbie, moving up!
Good prime lenses for a Canon 10d?
heyas!
I'm currently searching for a prime lense for my canon. Although you have the whole 1.6 multiplying thingy due to the processor size I'm still very interested in finding a lens around 50mm. I've seen various reviews about the net but would love some of your feedbacks as well!
The lens would mostly be used for daylight action or night shots. As well, to have a simple lens on board for when I want to go light.
Thanks for reading!

If you what a fixed lens you need a 35mm, right?
All my lenses are Canon or Sigma. Have been happy with them and would recommend going with one of them.
These are few listed on B&H.
Canon Wide Angle EF 35mm f/2.0 Autofocus Lens - 225 USD
Canon Wide Angle EF 35mm f/1.4L USM Autofocus Lens - 1200 USD
Sigma Wide Angle 28mm f/1.8 EX Aspherical DG DF Macro Autofocus Lens for Canon EOS - 230 USD
Who the largest dealer in Europe? What are their prices?
I have a Sigma 28-70 Aspherical f2.8 it cost about 300 USD an equivalent lens from Canon was in the 500-600 range. All around happy with it then used on my EOS-1, but with the 10D it is a long at 28mm (44mm) inside small rooms

I spend too much of my life on TPF!
The Canon 50mm f1.8 is a great lens, superb image quality, fast, very cheap. The build quality is not great, but what do you expect for $80.
If you have more cash to burn go for any Canon L glass...
