Canon DSLR (XS) with older Canon lenses?

    Howdy,
I read that you can use older Canon lenses with the new Canon DSLRs.
    But is an adapter required?

I have an old T50 with 2 lenses, and now a new Canon XS, but the lenses from the T50 won't fit the XS.

    Thanks very much.

FD lenses won't fit any EOS SLR (film or digital). You'll need EF lenses.

Canon left you high and dry...their old lenses are basically useless orphans.

Opinion. I'm glad they did it when they did.

    Ah dang, thanks.
My lenses are just a few years shy of the EF mount.
