What's your wish list?
It's hard to feel satisfied, there's always something else that I want, so here's mine, not too ambitious I think:
F1.4 50mm, can be AF-S or AF-D
F2.8 70~200mm VR with some sort of teleconverter.
105mm Macro VR
Would definitely need lighting aid for the macro.
The 50mm and telephoto are upgrades from what I currently have. I want AF for the 50mm for focus speed and much better optics for the telephoto. I currently have the non-VR 70~300mm AF-D which it sub par when mounted on a D700.
For the 105mm, it's less important. I depends on where I live and if I can get access to places with tiny critters often. Otherwise, I won't have much use for macro.
Also, a nice tripod will be good for product photography. I have been struggling with travel grade tripods with the D700 and a telephoto for product shots. It just shakes too much. I then used a heavy duty video tripod and it turned out so much better. This also depends on whether I get to do product photography often, but it's definitely a nice to have.
Of all of the above, I see myself getting the 50mm first and the macro last.
So what do you have in your mind?

Zeiss primes : )
I've got the one, and now I'm spoiled... I think my next upgrade will be the new Zeiss 35mm 1.4 Distagon, to replace my Canon 28mm 1.8 USM. After that? a 21mm Distagon? 100mm Makro-Planar? who knows.... Only sure of the 35 right now, likely will do that next month.60d, Tokina 11-16 2.8, Canon 24 1.4L II, Zeiss 35 1.4 Distagon, Zeiss 50 2.0 Makro-Planar, Canon 85 1.8, Yashica DX 135 2.8, flashy stuff, filtery stuff

My list is pretty short now, but there's always something on the list. Right now it's.....
Nikkor 135mm DC f/2.0. Had the Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 G or D of the list, but after some thought, my f/1.8 does good enough right now.
2x Hair/Accent monolight, probably something like this.
A few more light modifiers.
A 5'x6' collapsible background for travel, probably something like this. I have a 6'x7' and it's too much fuss to pack and unpack.
On the back burner are posing tubs. The Liver is Evil and Must Be Punished.
Shooter of FX, DX and MFT
I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
Two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.

My imitate list is fairly short, it is however seriously hampered by being seriously expensive at the same time:
Canon 300mm f2.8 IS L M2
Canon 4/5/6 00mm fsomething L M2
Canon 24-105mm f4 IS L
New bigger bag (this might actually happen!)
Stackshot and Stopshot gears
Wimberly tripod head
Ballhead
Better, lighter tripod legs
And that's mostly it for the moment - now if only it wasn't all so darn expensive! How to get critique on your photography!

I only want two things:
Nikon 500mm f/4 VRII &
14-24 f/2.8
My wife would like the 200mm f/4 micro since she likes to shoot bugs
Now - does anybody know where I can sell a kidney?

F1.2 50mm is really not that expensive on the used market. And yes it's worth every penny!
