What is your Primary Digital SLR?

Just as the thread title states. This is for the dSLR that you use the most. I've included all the dSLRs in the charts at the bottom of the Wiki pages for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax and Olympus and put in another option for another brand in case you don't use one of those. Please read the names carefully, some of them are very similar!

I want that 1dX so bad I can feel it burning through every vein and artery in my body. BUT... I'd have to sell off every camera I own, mortgage my house, sell a kidney and a few kids first. I am holding out judgement on the 5d3 yet... I think I have a buyer for my 5d2 so it's outta here. My 50D will go next and then? If the 5d3 or x or whatever is GOOD, I'll upgrade. Otherwise I might just sell off the other two and jump ship. Getting ticked at Canon lately!

    I I I I didn't know we could make polls that big!
Shoulda made it multiple choice - but as my primary its a Canon 7D at present - replacing my (still used) 400D.

Also don't go to Nikon they are all 36MP OMG AMAZING crazy at the moment. I mean seriously as if more MP makes a better camera

Only thing then is I imagine being a sports shooter you need to be fast at reacting and fast on your settings. If you know your cameras well and then change brand it could effect your hit rate until you get up to speed with the new system

I think that goes with the Ashton Kutcher commercials making the average idiot into an amazing photographer by buying a d3100 and using it with the pop up flash and all. They're aiming for the uneducated crowd there. NOT feeling that love.
Just that nikon bodies make it soooo much easier and affordable for a sports shooter. The lenses? well, they sure as hell aren't more affordable!

I'd kinda like to PLAY with a sigma camera. Their sensor technology intrigues me. The rest of their cameras are in the stone age, but that sensor looks like a flash of brilliance.

My favorite ridiculous camera ads are the Canon Digital Rebel ones....where they show some poor, average American NFL football fan, sitting in the $55 seats 80 yards up and away from the 30 yard line in an NFL stadium that seats 95,000 fans...he brings the Rebel to his eye...and even though it appears to be twilight time, and perhaps raining, he manages to get a sharp, clear, 300mm f/2.8-like sequence of a running back hurdling a linebacker, and carrying the football across the goal line....ALL SHOT WITH the 18-55 kit zoom lens!!!!

Who here has NOT seen this piece of Canon-sponsored corporate horse-hockey and not laughed their effin' arse off??? it is even more patently-ridiculous than Mr. Ashton Kutscher (former hubby of actress DoMe More) and his Nikon CoolPix girl-watcher snapping!!!
