    I did not have to turn in receipts for my gear as I added it. Only serial numbers.
    I've had one claim on mine and I got current market value for a used replacement until I submitted the receipt for the new piece, at which point they cut me a check for the rest. HOWEVER you must make sure that your gear policy is for FULL REPLACEMENT COST. Not current market value.


    Personally I feel that a shooter in your position would benefit more from a membership to PPA-which comes with $15k in gear coverage and you can add the indemnity trust as well. MANY benefits for a PPA member in discounts, learning, their resources... You'll spend about the same in a year that you would to insure your commercial (any gear you use to make $ with) gear.
