After going on the Wheel of Fortune (i'm a beast at those puzzles): 70-200 2.8L, 85 1.2L, and the 50 1.2L, a nice large format film camera, and some zeiss and leica lenses for it. c: But until then..keep saving for my 5D Mark III cuz it's soon.

Hard as it is to admit I'm pretty content with what I've got, and don't really want anything. Subject to change at any time though

I'd like to get a hasselblad arc body (always wanted one) with a digital back. I don't need anything too extravagant, even like a 16mp back. But i would like to get into medium format again.

A solid well made full frame Nikon rangefinder with a 28 or 35 mm f/2.8 lens.

- The AF-S 55-200mm f/4-5.6 VR DX lens that I'm waiting for since 3 weeks now. What is Nikon busy doing, anyway ?
- Lowepro Flipside 500 AW(*). One and a half weeks on that now. Not inpatient yet, but too late to impress me with speed now.
- A tripod... still making up my mind what I want in that respect.
- Maybe a new point and shoot, sometimes I just cant take my D5100 with me and my old Panasonic DMC-FX07 really IS a "point and shoot", some more control in an equally small package would be nice, but I'm far from having made up my mind which model would be right for me (Canon Powershot S100 ? Fujifilm Finepix X100 ? Sony DSC-RX100 ? Or ... ?).
So in other words a Nikon version of the Fuji X100 ? (which isnt full frame, just APS-C, though)
(*): Oh, and I dont want to use it as a camera bag alone. I just love the concept of the bag and want to use it as a general bag.Nikon D5100 + AF-S DX Nikkor 35m f/1.8G + AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED

For those looking for good tripods, I would recommend looking for older Gitzos. I got a used gitzo g220 on ebay for 150$ and it's not too heavy. If you compare it to one of the newer carbon fibre gitzos
Series 1 Carbon 6X Geared Tripod - 4 Section G-Lock GT1540G - Mountaineer | Gitzoyou pay an extra 630$ to save 1.5lb in weight. The flexible leg design is invaluable and you can brag that you have a gitzo :p.

I'm pretty happy right now too. Gear wise, maybe the Nikon 85mm f1.8G. I would really like another strobe though. Probably the Alien Bees B1600 with another Vagabond Mini battery pack. A softbox or octobox would be nice too.

Okay, seriously.
Stuff that might actually happen this year or next:
Tripod
Focus rail for said tripod
Flash bracket
Second flash and/or ring flash
Good filters--ND/CPL/etc. I don't have ANY now, so just about anything worthwhile.
Things that are at least two years off. Some are more like 20 years off.
--
Lenses: 70-300 VRII/something longer than 300 (no specifics)/12-24 f2.8/24-70 f/2.8/200mm micro/probably others that haven't occurred to me
D7000. Or maybe a D600. Or who knows what by the time I can actually afford it.
Sparky's bellows.
Awww...I just found out--literally JUST found out, as I was typing this wish list--that a contract job I thought was pretty much a done deal isn't going to happen this year. So, unless I can find a NEW extra job to replace it, those first items may be a bit further off than I'd hoped. Well, that's just the way it goes.

I'm mostly set on lenses... I've been collecting them slowly over the years and now have most of what I've ever wanted (naturally now that I have most of it... several of the lenses have been replaced with version "II" of the lenses) but shockingly, I don't actually own a 50mm prime. Having grown up shooting a 35mm film camera where the 50mm prime was the "kit" lens, I kinda miss it sometimes (sure I have a zoom that covers the 50mm length.)
I have a Sekonic L-308 meter, but now I'm wishing I had the L-358 or L-758.
I'd like a 10 stop ND filter.
I'd like a Singh-Ray or Lee grad ND -- possible a soft edge and hard edge version.
I have a 24mm tilt-shift lens... and I _really_ like that lens. But from time to time I wish a had a tilt shift with something closer to a normal angle of view. The TS-E 45mm might be a nice addition.Last edited by TCampbell; 07-03-2012 at 07:13 PM.
