After much thought and time searching the net I think I have desided to go for an SLR rather than compact system this is mainly because I want telephoto zooming ability and while this can be achieved with a compact system camera I have found that's compact system camera with a standard and a telephoto lens cost more than a dslr with equivalent lens. I like the cannon 550d and 600d and have seen deals matching my budget for both question is do I go for a 550d in a deal with the normal lens and a 70-300mm lens or do I go for a 600d with standard and a 55-200mm lens which also includes bag tripod etc I was looking at the 300mm lens as I do some distance work and some night sky work...... Really not sure which to get I think the 600d is better value but am I going to miss that extra 100mm zoom help please all opinions welcome please
