Old Gear?
Ok guys I'm impatient and very curious, sent a message to ask what lenses are there etc... but wanted to try to get a jump start on seeing what the lighting/flash/tripods are worth.
There isn't a lot of info, here is what is provided:
Two AE-1 Cannon Cameras
Lens
Flood Lights
Tripods
Lens
Camera Bag
And here is a picture of the gear:

(I can remove and link if necessary)
Can you tell what is there from the picture and what some of it might be worth/am I crazy for considering this?
I'll keep the price under my hat for now ....

The floodlights are a waste of time, not worth ... and can't tell much about the tripod, but it looks like a cheapie. If the flash is a Canon Flash.. it would be worth more than if it is some cheap knock-off.... need to know that.
What is important is whether the bodies are fully functional, and what lenses (and quality of lenses) they are. Get that info.. and then you can better assess the worth.Last edited by cgipson1; 07-06-2012 at 08:46 AM.

Thanks Charlie, here was her response, I'm hitting google now:
Hi Judi: I know very little about cameras and lens but here is a list of what I found:
SunPak 422D
Tamron 70-150mmF3.5
Speedlite 155A
Tamron Adaptall
Gold Line ??
Leica R4 series
Bell & Howell Model 10
Boxes of filters
Bell & Howell Model 10 (would this be a double)
Bell & Howell Lumax 5.2
It is best offer for the lot of everything as we are downsizing and moving.

So from what I can tell nothing is worth much, it is listed at $100 and she says best offer in her email. Seems $100 is probably about accurate for what it is all worth?

IF the Leica is the R4 body..and works and is in good shape... worth several hundred at least. But Risky, unless you can check it out first. The Tamron lens and adapter $20 bucks at the most. The flash... maybe $5. Model 10 in perfect condition.. maybe $40-50.
I wouldn't bother... unless the Leica (if it is the body) is in good shape.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks Charlie, this is local to me so I can go and check it out. May I be a pest and ask what I should look for if it is the Leica camera?

Thanks Charlie
I just kinda figured there would be standard things one would look at in an old body, that "buying used" link is perfect.

The Leica R4 is very nice but there is no lens for it and a good lens for it will cost a lot of money, but usually when you see a Leica for sale mostly they will be in good condition because are owned by enthusiasts

Thanks guys, I'd still be trying to figure it all out without your help. Looks like its not the camera, it's an Leica adaptall mount. I'm going to pass.
