    Eyepiece adapter?

    hello all,
First of all I want to make sure that the little rubber piece thats on the viewfinder window is called an eyepiece. Is that correct?
My real question is: does an adapter exist so that one may use a canon eyepiece on a nikon?
The width of the nikon viewfinder seems to be just a few millimeters wider than my canon viewfinder.
The reason why I want to know is because I have this nice Minolta viewfinder 2x magnifier attachment; it fits on my old Canon Rebel G, but not on my Nikon D5100.
    Thanks!

I've never heard of such an adapter. I'd think they make all sorts of eye-pieces to fit your Nikon, if you just want a different one. But if you just want to use the one you have...You might try to modify it somehow.

There's no correlation between creativity and equipment ownership. None. Zilch. Nada. Actually, as the artist gets more into his thing, and as he gets more successful, his number of tools tends to go down. He knows what works for him. Expending mental energy on stuff wastes time.

My last resort is try to sand down the sides of the eyepiece.
Although it would be quite difficult.

The Nikon viewfinder is a bit larger than the canon viewfinder, because the Nikon image sensor is also a bit larger than the Canon viewfinder.

I would be astounded if there is an adapter.
