    Sigma 15mm/2.8 for Minolta

I'm thinking about getting this lens for my Sony A-100. Here's a link to it:

    http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/detail.asp?IDLens=150

I found it at www.keh.com for $400 which is much less than I was expecting to spend for something like this.

Does anyone here have any experience with this lens or one like it? I really need to have a good sales pitch to convince my wife I need it!

You do know that this fisheye, won't actually show 180 degrees worth of viewing on your sony, right?

You need to go back to about 10.5mm for that to happen because of the cropped sensor.

I'm 99% sure the A100 uses the same sensor as the Nikon D40x, D80, and D200 and if it does, than you'll need to consider the 1.5x crop that it puts on every lens you use on it.

Thanks. I knew it wouldn't offer 180 degrees left and right, but that's not really a big concern to me. I just wanted something that had a little distortion and could fit alot more of a room or scene (particularly cathedrals and stuff in Italy) in one shot.

Here's a gallery of pics taken using this lens, and these are the kind of shots I'm wanting:

I forgot about that 1.5 crop on lenses. That essentially makes a 15mm lens a 22.5mm equivilant, right?
