Studio Lights.. Novatron Fun Kit or Photobasics 3 lights kit

I'm an amateur in digital photography.. I have a D70s.. and wondering which studio light should I buy for taking picture of my kids at home..some outdoor and some wedding.

    Thanks!

    read this:

and than just buy an SB-600 or SB-800 and have it off camera. for less than $200 you can have off camera strobe that works seamlessly with your camera through Nikon's i-TTL system.

If you haven't used it before, than you're in for a treat. It's REALLY neat, and MUCH more compact than the studio strobe.

The only catch is that it's only 60 watt seconds. but if you have two, than you have 120 watt seconds, and so on..

An SB-800 is over $300 new. You could also try and find some SB-28s to use but you won't have the iTTL functionality. They are about $100 each.

SB-600's are less than $200 new, and they work wirelessly like the 800's.

You can use older speedlights, but you loose the ability to control the power output from your camera and you would also have to buy radio triggers, thus most likely evening out the cost anyway.
