Holly Beach...not a beach scene!

Holly Beach, Louisiana just after hurricane IKE. Unbelievable destruction........the only structures left were a few on pilings.
All other homes were washed away by the 12 foot surge.
I was there for a month for an insurance company."is your lens clean?"Nikon F3, F5, D70Nikon SB-800

FYI there was not much there BEFORE Ike either. Rita wiped that place out in Fall 2005.

Drunk drivers... will they never learn...

But I wonder why we don't halt these hurricanes? We've been able to dramatically increase, decrease and steer hurricanes sine the early sixties - part of my fathers work for the gov. long ago. Oh well.
