A last bit of spot news for 2011 and a year-end roundup

So 2011 wrapped up the other day and here in the newsroom we are deep into the best of 2011 lists. It was a slow year for spot news but the features were great this year.

Here is my collection of favorite photos from the paper this year. Sorry for the link. I, like man of you, hate clicking on links to see photos but I don't have any alternatives this time around. Sorry about that. I apologize for the clunky nature of the slideshow. Our website is just awful.

And to cap off the year we had a pretty gnarly two-car collision on New Year's Eve. DUI driver in a Ford Ranger collided with a Toyota pickup, sending the Toyota into a streetlight. The two people had to be cut out of the car. One was taken by a helicopter, the other by ambulance. Luckily neither turned out to have serious injuries.





So here's to the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012. Hope you all have a great new year full of shooting.
