Engagement Session
This was my first paid shoot! After two years here on TPF. This is the couple's favorite shot.

If I had a website like everyone else, this is where the link would be.

Did they pay for the engagement session alone, or is it part of doing their wedding photography as well?

Nice. I think it could use a little work in post, though.

what a pretty setting.
I am not overly keen on shots where there is alot of space around the couple/person I like tighter crops, - but thats just me
and its what the couple like thats important.
They look happyIn April 2008 I bought my first DSLR - a Canon 30d with the canon 50mm F1.8 and the Sigma 70-300 F4-5.6 APO DG Macro, and 430ex II flash.
To learn more about me visit my Blog I also have pictures on Flikr
I will critique your photos, but remember I am new and still have alot to learn too, so repay the favor when you see me post

I agree. You should push this. The sky could be a fantastic blue, if more saturated. The ocean could be a nicer color. They need more light on them, I think. The shadows need to be lifted some. Those clouds need to be WHITE and have more contrast against the sky.
A vingette would help to draw the eye in and also work to crop some of the dead space around the edges.
I do like the angle you chose and the location! Congrats on your first paid shoot
