Expiramenting with bounce flash / remote flash

Im now obsessed and going to get another flash and use them wirelessly.

the first one I have the flash off the camera on the ground pointed up at her
almost 2 stops down on power

the second shot there is a wall 3 ft to the left of her, I am bouncing off that wall at about half power, she is staring at the flash.

the third one she is standing with her back on the wall and I am bouncing off that same wall with no diffuser at about 1/3 stop above normal

its amazing you can get all sorts of cool looks by using lights creatively.
FYI - she is now 2 yrs and 4 months, and Yes she will never wear makeup or high heels until she is 34 years old

Nice shots. A reflector in #1 would have put some nice light into her eyes.
You've got a good start on light control already.
With that face and those eyes...good call on the "Daddy's rule"

She is cute in all of them, but she is SOOOO cute in the 3rd

I want to start experimenting with different flash set ups as well. Gotta get some more flashes first though!

Were you using any of them on a stand?

I was hand holding it as far as it would reach. But its just one.

I think im going to get the wireless commander, and then the second flash after that.. they gotta be so expensive.

Also, good idea on the reflector !!
