    sony a55 with canon 580 ex2 flash

    how do i get this flash to fire with the sony...im lost

    How are you connecting the Canon flash to the Sony ??

    Can't put it on the hot shoe ... and there is not sync cord port ...

    sony a55 with canon 580 ex2 flash

    You could buy a hotshoe adapter. You won't have ttl and you'll be full manual. I use an adapter with wireless trigger and fire mine that way.
